After Dagny’s dance class on Saturday we headed down to Binghamton for the 4th Annual Biro Bonfire. I look forward to this weekend every year. It was great seeing my family along with the extended family too. As Dagny is getting older, the weekend gets so much more enjoyable. Barbara We had a lovely Father’s Day. We had fun in our backyard playing around, going out for a late lunch, and putting a fence up. Okay, putting up the fence part was all Craig. He did about 95 percent of the install of the removable fence around the pool. We are very excited about having the extra security in our backyard. It puts more ease on our minds when being out there with D and her friends. Monday, Dagny had her last day of gymnastics for this round. Parents were invited to observer. We were impressed with how much they do with them at this age. To our pleasant surprise she was good at the different activities. Most importantly she was having fun. After class the kids were called individually up to the podium and received a ribbon. It was too cute. The weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind. It seems it’s either summer or spring here. One day hot, the other rainy. This is a summer day: This is a spring day: This was literally one day to the next. Can’t wait for summer to start. Ugh. Anyway, we are making the best of what we can about going outside. Dagny has really gotten into riding her tricycle. We have graduated from the driveway and now are actually going on longer rides in our neighborhood. Oh, and girl is fast. She likes to push her invisible button on her bike that makes her tricycle become super-fast and become Super Dagny. I will end this post with a Dagnyism. She says the funniest things. Dagny: Mommy, I need to brush my teeth, because if I don’t I’ll have cabbages. Me: Do you mean cavities? Dagny: Yes, that’s what I said. -Barbara

After every bath Lily gets so excited that she just runs back and forth for minutes at a time. This time Dagny became part of the action. Dagny from the very start didn’t mind Lily very much. Which is great because, Lily could be… well how should I put it… very excited. She is the sweetest dog around. She wouldn’t hurt a fly, OK perhaps a fly but only if it was in her face, but wouldn’t you? We were never worried that Lily would ever do anything to harm Dagny, ever. Due to Lily’s excitement when someone comes to our house we were a little concerned with how Dagny would react to having a dog trying to lick her from head to toe and run around her like she was a merry-go-round. So when the day finally came for us to be home, yeah by the way, we were surprised that Dagny really didn’t mind Lily jumping and trying to lick her. Now, if Lily tries to lick Dagny, she puts her head down as she crawls away from her and laughs. It’s one of the funnest things. Lily on the other hand is very much jealous of Dagny. We figured she would be because we perhaps babied her a little too much, but it so hard not to. But, that’s another blog. Dagny and Lily are not at the point where they play with each other. Dagny is still too young for that, but when Craig is around the three of them play together. That is such a cute site. They play fetch. Dagny initially sits on Craig’s lap as Craig throws the bone and Lily runs for it. Dagny finds this hysterical. Then as time goes by Dagny tries to give Lily the bone, but of course Lily looks at her like, throw it, I want to run. Then when Lily doesn’t take it she gives it to Craig to throw. This goes on and on. As the game comes to an end it ends with Dagny patting Lily and Lily trying to lick her. It is the story of a girl and her dog.
Let the game start
“Fetch, Lily”
“You can’t have my phone”
“Daddy, you throw it”
Yeah
“I don’t have the bone”
“Do you have glasses?”
“Good doggy!”
