For insistence, last Friday Dagny and I met up her friend, Samantha, and her mom at RIT for a hockey game. I am embarrassed to say that I’ve never been to one while attending RIT. I see that changing in the future.  We had so much fun!

Ten minutes into the game Dagny got the puck! It flew over the glass and was caught by someone behind us. The entire section started chanting, “Give it to the kid!, Give it to the kid!” He was nice enough to give it to us.  During intermission an official came over and gave the man another puck. GO RIT!

Valentine’s Day meant another project for me. I tend to overdue things, but I really enjoy this kind of stuff. Dagny and I headed out one night to Michaels to pick up some craft supplies. She is old enough now that I can discuss ideas with her and get some valid feedback. She’s growing up so fast. Sigh.

Winter shows itself once in awhile.

When it actually was winter-like-weather we try to take advantage and do winter-like activities, most notably sledding.

Dagny actually went down the hill all by herself.

One reason for my lack of posting is because we’ve been busy. Dagny is still in dance (ballet and tap) and she is really enjoying it.  This year she also started skating lessons. Craig is really enjoying the lessons with his little girl.

Dagny started swim lessons a few weeks back. Having a pool, we felt that formal training would be a good idea. And of course she loves it. Here she is with her BFF.

Dagny and her best friend, Samantha, have been hanging out a lot. They went to their first 3-D movie, The Beauty and the Beast.

And, here they are at Disney on Ice.

My mom and I went to the Eastman Theater to listen/see Itzhak Perlman. What that man can do with the violin is indescribable. Only thing I can compare it to is velvet to the ears.

We went to the Museum of Play to check out their new visiting exhibit, The Wizard of Oz.

Due to the less then stellar winter like conditions, Dagny has been able to ride her bike. She actually rode there and back to our local library. Before heading home, we got some books and stopped at the playground.

Dagny’s imagination has taken off big time. The girl can play for hours with her toys. She also loves to put shows on for us. Here she is putting on a TV show.  Sometime starting her or her stuff animals. I am really enjoying this stage.

Her passion for drawing has also taken off. I just love the things she is able to draw now. Here is Mommy Bear. I think  she did a fantastic job!

What else? Oh, yes. We have I think a total of three tress on our property and when we had some really high winds one of our tress went down. In hindsight we were very lucky how it fell.

Later in the evening we all played some Wii.

Dagny was very smitten with Craig all weekend.

Here is my little girl on Christmas Eve. So I ask you, when did she get so big?!

My silly family.  These two are so goofy.  Love them so much!

Craig and Dagny baked homemade chocolate chip cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. She also wanted to leave carrots for the reindeer.  It was very important that there was enough for all the reindeer anything less was not an option!

I made (painted) the Santa plate for Dagny a couple of months ago. I am so happy it turned out good, but more with the fact that Dagny loves it.

First thing Dagny ran for was the BIG teddy bear that Craig got her. My girl loves her bears!

Our child is officially plugged-in.  D got a shuffle from Agi Mama and its filled with all her favorite tunes.

We have been preparing her that it’s not going to be easy at first. That she will fall, a lot! She has genuinely been very excited about going. There were no tears, lots of smiles, and laughter.  We will mark this as a success.

But, still we didn’t know what would happen when she got on stage.  As I heard the music start up,  I really believe I stopped breathing. Then the curtains opened and there was my little girl doing her dance without an ounce of shyness or apprehension on her part. That’s when I started breathing again and a huge smile came on my face.  I can’t explain how much pride I had in my daughter at that moment.  She rocked it!
