Dear Dagny, We weren’t able to be together for your 1st Birthday to kiss and hug you and have you blow out your very first birthday candle. So, Mommy and Daddy blew out a candle for you. When you come home we will have a big party with lots of balloons and a big cake with your very own candle to blow out. You will have all your family with you and no more birthdays apart.

We love you so much and can’t wait to have you in our arms again! Mommy and Daddy are coming for you real soon. Love, Mommy & Daddy This evening, my Mother and I were about to go out for a quick run to Target when I quickly checked my email. To my surprise another couple (N and R) who are adopting from our agency sent a beautiful picture of Dagny! N and R are currently in Moscow meeting their little girl for the first time and what makes it even more amazing is that their little girl is from the same orphanage as ours. And while they were visiting they saw our little one and they took a photo for us. This picture means so much to us because we got to see our little girl on her birthday (11/14). Or at least the day before. Not being there for her first birthday is really hard for Craig and I.  Craig and I want to thank N and R from the bottom of our hearts for sending this picture to us. It really touched our hearts and we hope to be able to repay the favor on our next trip. Love, Barbara & Craig Happy Birthday Sweetheart! Please don’t feel obligated Love, Craig, Barbara & Dagny We’ve been home now for almost a week and we have a little bit of waiting to do before our next big round of traveling. So I thought that I could talk a little more about what Barbara and I have done to get to this point. |
